I’m Marvella Castaneda, a dipWSET student and a sommelier in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve only been in Atlanta since 2021, but I arrived wanting to pursue a wine career. I won the 2023 Star Chef’s Rising Star Sommelier Award in my first year as a wine director, which was such an amazing surprise. I’ve been studying in the WSET program, but also a little of WSG and CMS. I love wine education and believe that it should be available in different learning styles.
